It is with gratitude to God and to our revered Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, that I send this testimony, hoping it will find a place in some receptive thought. My little boy, then two years old, accidentally pulled a kettle of boiling water over his body. His face and head were severely burned, and I, being a very young student in Christian Science, did not have a clear understanding, so I called for help from a loving practitioner. Inside a very few hours the pain was destroyed, and he slept all night. He ate breakfast the next morning, and improved every day; and when the eighth day came he was able to be out. The fear of scars presented itself; but I knew that by absolute reliance on God it would be proved that God's work is perfect. The story of the three Hebrew boys, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, was so helpful. I felt so sure of God's protection; and the healing was perfect, not even the sign of a mark being left.

This is only one of the many healings we have had. We cannot be grateful enough to the revelator of Truth to this age and to all future ages, Mrs. Eddy. We have so much to be grateful for in this day and generation, especially the privilege of the Christian Science Sunday School for our children. We cannot be too thorough and firm in pointing them to divine Principle, and helping them to realize what it means to know the truth. I do not know what I should do without this wonderful truth. How grateful we are for the teachings of Jesus the Christ, and for our inspired Leader! It is a privilege to be a member of The Mother Church, and also to be a Christian Scientist.
