In gratitude to Christian Science I wish to add this...
In gratitude to Christian Science I wish to add this testimony to the record of its many healings. My business affairs were in a very critical condition a few years ago, making it necessary for me to begin life anew, at the bottom of the ladder. The solution of this problem was earnestly sought with the aid of Christian Science. Employment was sought unsuccessfully for some time, until it was discovered that the error of pride stood in the way of accepting such work as could readily be obtained. This error was overcome, and employment as a laborer was found. It proved unnecessary to take this, however, as more adequate employment offered itself immediately. In time, an opportunity presented itself for me to engage in an occupation in which I had special proficiency. Through this every need has been met; and there has been opportunity in its activities for much service and gratitude and rejoicing.
I am deeply grateful to Christian Science for the protection afforded in my family life, and for the demonstrations in our home. One of my children was healed in a few treatments of a nervous twitching of over a year's standing. Another child, although quarantined by the school authorities, was completely well during the entire period of quarantine, except for a slight indication of fever on the first day. I have been healed of stomach and liver disorders of many years' standing, of the tobacco habit, and of the need of wearing glasses.
For all of these manifestations of divine Love, and especially for the privilege of class instruction and the spiritual unfoldment which has come through earnest study of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," and other works of Mary Baker Eddy, I am deeply grateful to our heavenly Father and to His Christ; also to our revered Leader.
