Pledged to good intentions, secret though they be,Mindful of the pitfalls day by day,Ready with forgiveness, if a fault you see,—Is not this, indeed, the better way?

Lending timely counsel to a friend in need,Asking not the question, Does it pay?Should your help prove thankless, must you give it heed?Surely not; Love finds a better way.
