It is nearly three years since I had a wonderful healing in Christian Science; and I send this testimony, hoping it may help others. I had been an invalid for over two years, suffering nearly all the time, day and night, and often unable to sleep for the pain. The doctors who examined me said that I had "a growth on the hip joints," and the X-rays showed that to be the trouble. All that could be done was being done for me. My husband was also told that there was no real cure for me, and that I would probably get worse, until I would be unable to walk.

I had heard of Christian Science, but until that time I had never looked into it seriously, and had felt antagonistic to it. A friend sent me some Christian Science literature, however, and on reading it I felt that I had really found what I had wanted for years. The same friend then lent me "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and after reading it for a short while I began to feel better. Then another kind friend gave me a treatment. I felt instant relief, and in about ten days was quite cured. I think only those who have suffered can fully realize the wonder and joy this brought to me, after being what some called a helpless invalid. I began to take a new interest in life. I found that I could walk quite long distances, take up my household duties, and do many things that had seemed to me impossible.

Ever since that wonderful healing, Christian Science has been a light and guide to me. The beautiful understanding it has brought me of the Bible and spirituality has proved my greatest help. I appreciate the spiritual uplift more than my healing, as also the happiness of bringing it to others in need of it. Many have become earnestly interested in Christian Science through what in my case had seemed a miracle. Words fail to express the joy and gratitude I feel to God, who is indeed our Father-Mother, to Christ Jesus, the Way-shower, and to our dear Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, for her life of unselfish consecration, which enabled her to give the truth to the world.
