I wish to record my gratitude for Christian Science

I wish to record my gratitude for Christian Science. When I first saw the book "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, I was so filled with prejudice that I felt I dare scarcely look into it. I had been taught through religious training to look with scorn on all that was foreign to orthodox teaching; but I am most grateful that when, through dire need of physical healing, this prejudice was removed, I turned to what I felt was my only hope of health.

My physical healing came in fuller degree as my understanding of Truth grew, and I had the joy of realizing health, where from earliest childhood there had always been the opposite. Mrs. Eddy says, on page 14 of Science and Health,"Become conscious for a single moment that Life and intelligence are purely spiritual,—neither in nor of matter,—and the body will then utter no complaints." I learned that in proportion as I realized God as my health and strength, I became less conscious of my physical ills and the body grew strong and well.

I am grateful for physical healing, and more grateful still for the wellspring of joy that the knowledge of this truth has brought to me,—for the understanding of the Bible which Science and Health has given me, and that it has so truly proved itself a "Key to the Scriptures" and revealed their healing power.
