It is with a feeling of deep gratitude that I testify to having been lifted from spiritual darkness into the light of Truth through the study of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and into the recognition of the fact that I live and move and have my being in God, divine Principle. Having exhausted all material means, some fourteen years ago I turned to Christian Science for relief, having been told by physicians I would not be able to walk for at least a year on account of a severe strain of the hip. Through the help of a kind and loving practitioner, I not only experienced in a very short time normal action of the hip and limb, but was able to walk comfortably without the aid of crutches.
I have been wonderfully sustained and comforted in the passing on of loved ones, through the understanding I have gained of what Life is, from the study of the Bible and our Leader's writings, knowing in reality we cannot be separated from God or each other. Christian Science meets my every need, even to the smallest detail.
A matter of business came up at one time in which to save delay and extra expense I needed a legal paper that rightfully belonged to me, but was held by another, who had manifested much hatred and resentment toward me for some time because of my interest in Christian Science. So the argument came to me, Better spend all the money you have than ask for the paper. I immediately recognized there was something in my consciousness that needed correcting: I needed to know that man, made in the image and likeness of God, did not want anything that did not rightfully belong to him, as he already had all he needed as the reflection of God, and that he was just, honest, loving, and kind. When this was recognized, not only was the needed paper returned to me, but a desire expressed to help me.
