Through Christian Science, which all may understand by a consecrated, careful study of the Bible together with "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," by Mary Baker Eddy, we may enter and enjoy the kingdom of heaven, harmony, with all the loving thoughts which are now benefiting all mankind; though there are many being benefited thereby who do not realize from whence their blessings come, and in many instances do not even realize that they have been the recipients of such blessings. Therefore, we often are not grateful enough to be ready to obtain more of God's choicest blessings, which are showered on those who daily strive to live closer to Him and gain a better understanding of Him, "whom to know aright is Life eternal" (Science and Health, Pref., p. vii). I have been greatly benefited by the study of these inspired works, mentally, morally, and financially; and have been instantaneously healed of very severe burns with hot grease at one time and hot water at another time, also a severely sprained ankle, sick headaches, colds, and coughs. The desire to smoke, and the liquor habit of many years' standing, as well as the habit of using profanity, left me, as the snow melts before the sun.

My heart overflows with gratitude; in fact, I feel that even by giving all thought and energy to God's work I can never repay the debt of love I owe.
