The Lectures

Geneva, Switzerland (First Church).—When introducing a Christian Science lecturer Miss Eva Lassalle said in part:—

All of us—men, women, and children—wish to possess health, happiness, and peace; our desire is to attain an understanding of ourselves and the universe; and all, in one way or another, are seeking an answer to the problem of life. But how can we know that we have found the solution to this problem, that we have found the truth? It is through these words of Jesus, which are included in the teachings of Christian Science: "By their fruits ye shall know them."

With tenderness and infinite compassion the Christ is speaking to-day through Christian Science, and, as always, is addressing himself to those who are bowed down and distressed through the burden of sin, and it is saying, "God is our refuge." This is the good news which Christian Science is bringing to a world overwhelmed, and hoping for a brighter future. (Translation.)
