If we would realize that our testimony, however small,...
If we would realize that our testimony, however small, may be a help to some one in need, we would be more prompt in acknowledging what God has done for us. I have been in Christian Science fourteen years and have been healed of many things without the aid of a practitioner; but in one instance, I want to tell of, when I did have to call for one, I was healed of ptomaine poisoning in less than an hour. I was in New Jersey and the practitioner was in Indiana. We know in Science that God fills all space, and we only ask for help from others when we cannot think clearly for ourselves. My aunt, who was not a Christian Scientist, called for Science help when I was in such pain that I knew nothing of what was going on around me; and, and I stated before, in less than an hour I was healed, and I left that same day to go on a long journey.
This winter, with the help of the same practitioner, I was healed in a very few treatments of an enlargement in the inside of my throat. It was very painful and annoying. The physical healings are beautiful, but still more wonderful are the thoughts that make us love every one and help each day to bring some one nearer to the great heart of Love.
God is first in everything; and that is why we as Christian Scientists are so grateful to Mrs. Eddy. With His help she was able to face the discords of the world and show us the real way of Life.—(Mrs.) Helen R. Handy, Mays, Ind.
