ago, while superintending public schools, a valuable lesson was learned, which has been most helpful in gaining a practical understanding of Christian Science.

In order that Christian Science may properly be distinguished from the erroneous conceptions of it as reiterated by a critic in you columns, I shall appreciate the courtesy of additional space.
In answering the criticism on Christian Science given by an evangelist, I should like to make the following statements:—

What does Christian Science mean to me?
About twelve years ago, on the invitation of a friend, I attended my first Christian Science service; and well I remember the sweet sense of the divine presence I experienced, and how I felt every difficulty could be overcome, for there was nothing outside of God's allness.
It gives me great pleasure to send the following testimony of an instantaneous healing which I experienced several years ago.
In August, 1921, I was stricken with severe nervous prostration.
If we would realize that our testimony, however small, may be a help to some one in need, we would be more prompt in acknowledging what God has done for us.
I feel that I should add my testimony to the thousands from grateful people who have been healed and regenerated in Christian Science.
It would be impossible to express in words my gratitude for all the benefits I have received in the study of Christian Science.
I am so thankful for all that Christian Science has done for me that I wish to add my testimony, hoping it may reach some one whom it will help.
A scalding accident at the age of two years so shocked my system that the results followed me through childhood, youth, and early manhood.
I am grateful to give my experience in Christian Science healing for the benefit of any one suffering from malignant growth.
I wish to testify to a beautiful healing.
