It gives me great pleasure to send the following testimony of an instantaneous healing which I experienced several years ago. I had been suffering with a pain in my side for years, thinking that because I knew something of Christian Science some day it would disappear like many other ills, without specific treatment. However, the time came when I saw differently. The pain began to torment me and it seemed unbearable.

I went to a practitioner's home one morning, without an appointment, and asked to see her for a little while. I told her of this pain and said I thought it was around my heart. She asked me where my heart was placed. I seemed to be at a loss to know just where, and, in fact, did not want to know. She declared, "God is the life of man; Life is not dependent on a physical heart. Study about God as Life." Presently my consciousness was filled with these words from "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy (p. 203): "God is ... the centre and circumference of true being." I instantly felt I was healed; and I left her house with a greater desire to know more of God, and a great sense of joy and gratitude to her for her sweet assurance of God's love for me. This was over five years ago and the trouble has never returned. I have had many healings since then; headaches, colds, sprained ankle, and sorrow,—all have been overcome by the understanding of Christian Science and with the loving help of a dear practitioner.

We are indeed grateful for all the blessings that have come to our home through the study of Christian Science, and thankful to our revered Leader, Mary Baker Eddy.
