The testimonies which appear in the Sentinel and Journal are very interesting and I enjoy them very much and feel as if it were time to add my own. My attention was brought to Christian Science in one of our large army camps. At that time I was paying but very little attention to church or religion. I became interested by overhearing a conversation between some of the boys and a Christian Scientist. His answers to their questions were like a cup of cold water to one wandering in the desert, and before he left us I asked him for a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," which he gave me. That day was the turning point of my life. I immediately began to study my newfound treasure and in a few weeks I overcame the tobacco habit of about fifteen years' standing. I had been a victim of severe headaches for a long time, but since reading Science and Health I have been free from them. Chilblains were healed just from reading in this wonderful little book. But what I am most grateful for is the new life it has taught me to lead. It is a wonderful help in overcoming all problems one meets in daily life. To express one's gratitude in words is impossible. I cannot but give thanks to God, and to Mrs. Eddy, our dear Leader, for the treasure she has given us in Christian Science.
