Yakima, Wash. (First Church).—Lecturer introduced by Mrs. Maude Weisberger, who said in part: —

Christian Science is a religion of hope and of fulfillment. It is the "On earth peace, good will toward men." The mariner, struggling upon the storm tossed sea, hails with joy the gleaming light, whose rays shine out through the dark night, guiding him safely into the harbor. So in the midst of the seeming chaos in the world to-day, Christian Science comes as a light, shining through the dark sea of materiality and woe, showing sick and sinful humanity the way to God. The world is beginning to awaken from the horrible nightmare of war and pestilence, want and woe, and to cry out for the light, for comfort, peace, and rest. Too long it has been groping in the dark, vainly seeking through creed and dogma for that which, the psalmist says, "satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness."
