About six years ago I was in a very sickly condition and had given materia medica every opportunity I could think of to restore health, but it was of no avail, for I only fell deeper into a darker and more sorrowful condition. One Wednesday I made up my mind to investigate Christian Science, believing it to be just the same as any other denominational religion. I went and found it to be only what was good for any one to learn and decided then to go also to the next Sunday's service to see what sort of Sunday services they held. I heard only that which God had always taught His children through the teachings of His beloved Son Jesus Christ. I went home happy and full of new inspiration, but not realizing that God had already met my needs. When I got home my eyes pained me terribly, and I had to wear glasses. They had bothered me once before in the same way, but when I had taken the glasses off I could not do without them, so I thought this intense suffering to be the same condition presenting itself again. I took off my glasses and found my eyes perfectly well. I must say that I was the happiest woman that moment, and ever after, as I never needed them again, and to this day I have not been bothered again with my eyes. I have also been healed of internal trouble, rheumatism, Cuban itch, severe pains, and weakness which I used to suffer from all the time.
I am also deeply grateful for the understanding I have received through reading the literature, and I can say that God is present everywhere. I am so grateful to God for these wonderful healings. I am not able to utter enough thanks to Mrs. Eddy for her wonderful words of truth which she gave every one through her textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures."
