My heart overflows with gratitude for all the good that has come to me through Christian Science. I was in the depths of despair when this healing truth found me, confined to my bed with a complication of diseases. I had suffered from a peculiar type of throat trouble since I was eight years of age. This would come in paroxysms and my jaws would become locked so that I could not talk or eat. These attacks lasted from five to ten days. The physicians had long before told my loved ones and me that there was nothing they could do for me, and this was very discouraging as I suffered intensely during these attacks.

When a number of other discordant physical conditions were added to this one, and according to materia medica my days were numbered, I turned as a last resort to Christian Science. From the first treatment I began to improve, one disease disappearing, then another. The throat affection was longer in yielding to the truth, and this caused me to study the Christian Science literature more faithfully. With the aid of a practitioner, however, from this trouble, too, I was at last freed.

While my heart overflows with gratitude for the physical healings, for the spiritual uplift words are inadequate to express my gratitude. I had always known the Golden Rule, but with this newborn understanding came the desire to practice it in my daily life. The love for my fellow man became stronger, and I began to see life from a new standpoint. In about five weeks I went back to business, after having been away from it for four months. Financial conditions also improved. All that I have and am I owe to Christian Science. My prayer is that my life may attest my sincerity, my thankfulness to God, and my gratitude to Mrs. Eddy.
