For the past six years my family and I have enjoyed the blessings of Christian Science, and I wish to give thanks for all the good received and for the many proofs of the tender love of our Father-Mother God. I beg to state the following experience as evidence of my gratitude and of the healing power of Christian Science.

During the so-called influenza epidemic last winter our seventeen-year-old daughter was stricken with the disease. We realized at once that here was our opportunity to prove our knowledge of Christian Science, and so we immediately declared the perfection of God's creation. The condition seemingly becoming serious, we requested the assistance of a Christian Science practitioner and, as we were compelled to report such a case, a doctor was called. We declared the truth constantly, especially since the doctor called the case very serious, even hopeless; and our calmness and confidence did not desert us the following day, although the conditions seemed to become worse. Toward evening the fever left the patient, which was perplexing to the doctor, but for us it was the natural result following the application of the teachings of Christian Science. After that her condition improved from day to day. We owe the life of our daughter, whom the doctor had already given up, to steadfast adherence to the power of divine Love, and to the loving assistance of the practitioner.

Christian Science produces harmony and perfection everywhere. Many business trials have also disappeared through the understanding that God constantly provides for our necessities. We depend upon our loving Father for everything, and the applicability of Christian Science to our daily lives renders it a treasure. It is our endeavor to gain more understanding of this teaching through prayer and work and by leading a life which will please God, and in this way express our thankfulness to God, our creator, and to our Leader, Mrs., Eddy, who was pure enough to bring this truth, revealed by Christ Jesus, to light again.
