With a heart full of gratitude and love to God and also to our dear Leader, I give this testimony of what Christian Science has done for me. I first became interested in it at an early age; and through the daily life and influence of a young Christian Scientist my thought then was that if Christian Science helped her to live as she did, I wanted it too; and by an earnest, prayerful study of the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, I have learned my lesson in divine Science.

At that time I was in great need of something, I knew not what. I was like a ship at sea, lost in a storm, not knowing which way to steer my course. I had attended many different churches, but their beliefs did not satisfy my longing desire. When Christian Science was presented to me, I knew it was what I had longed for, and all the literature I could get was most eagerly read. I am now content, satisfied, and happy. The spiritual awakening has been the greatest blessing. It came while I was attending a Christian Science church service for the first time. The subject of the Lesson-Sermon was "Love." I grasped something of the real meaning of the word, and the whole service was a revelation to me. I have received several physical healings for which I am most grateful. After suffering from nervous prostration for nearly six months, during which time I was given up by physicians, I turned to Christian Science and was instantaneously healed.

It is now over nine years since I came into Christian Science, and I am very grateful to the friends who have so faithfully helped me. I have walked through the "valley of the shadow of death," but feared no evil, for I realized that God, divine Love, was with me and nothing could harm His child. Our literature gives us spiritual food for thought. I have had the blessed privilege of becoming a member of The Mother Church, and my one desire is to live the life of a true Christian Scientist, to help others as I have been helped.
