The knowledge of Christian Science is the most wonderful blessing that has ever come into my life. It has given me a demonstrable understanding of God that is applicable to the solution of all the problems of daily life. When it first came to my notice fourteen years ago I was, and had been for many years, suffering from two distinct and chronic internal diseases, while arising out of these was a mental condition causing much misery. As my husband was a surgeon, I had tried every form of treatment which could be offered by materia medica, including one operation, but none of these things had given me more than temporary relief. After reading the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, I applied to a practitioner for treatment and both conditions were completely overcome, although the healing was slow. It is now twelve years since I have had any drugs or treatment other than Christian Science. Some years ago I had very bad abscesses in both ears. This condition seemed rather serious and there was a great deal of pain, but in about four treatments it disappeared and I have had no return of this trouble.

The following experience, which was very remarkable in that it set aside all material laws as to processes of healing, also took place some years ago. The forefinger of my right hand began to trouble me. I did not pay much attention to it for a day or two, but then it became very much worses and presented all the appearance of a badly poisoned finger. The pain was intense, and the finger very much swollen and suppurated, so I asked for Christian Science treatment. I slept the whole night through and in the morning the pain was practically gone, although the finger looked much the same. It did not open, but gradually became normal, and a new nail came.

These are only a few of the many healings I have had since I first heard of Christian Science. Is it any wonder that Christian Scientists are grateful to Mrs. Eddy for her revelation of this new-old truth, which to-day, as at the beginning of the first century, is what Jesus referred to when he said, "If ye continue in my word, ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."
