[Written for the Sentinel]

Truth Triumphant

No more do mortals grope in vain
To find God's guiding hand;
For Truth has conquered sin and pain
And all their alien band.

For now are we the sons of God—
These words ring true and clear.
We lift our eyes above the sod
To see the dawn appear.

Love sends its beam to light the way;
Truth sunders error's chains;
Life reigns, and death no more holds sway;
God's man his birthright claims.
