I wish to tell how happy I am for having had Christian Science...

I wish to tell how happy I am for having had Christian Science brought to my notice. I have known of this truth about a year, and during the ten months when I served in the Army it was a constant help. I had heard Christian Science mentioned many times, but gave it no more than passing notice until after reading the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. Then I knew it was just what I had longed for. Now it is invaluable to me in my daily work, which I find much easier, for a sense of timidity and lack of confidence has been overcome. Shortly after entering the Army I began reading the Lesson-Sermons and I have never missed one day in doing so, slowly and thoughtfully, since that time. Through this constant study and application of the truth and the help of the Camp Welfare worker I was freed from lameness, due to spraining my ankle eleven years ago. Not a sign of the trouble remains. I can walk as well and as far as anyone without the slightest thought of pain. This was my first demonstration of the healing power of Truth and I feel truly grateful for it.

I could go on and on telling about the many uplifting thoughts that come to me in my studies. It is true, genuine happiness to study this healing truth and to do as we are taught by it; and for all the good things learned I feel happy and grateful.—John W. Wood, Streator, Ill.
