Christian Science was brought to me a little over four years ago by a good friend. When I took up the study I could not read English, but through this study I have been able to educate myself. Words cannot express my gratitude for all the blessings that have come to me. I was healed of depression, sleeplessness, sick headache, toothache, pyorrhea, gastritis, and weak eyes. For many years I had to wear glasses, but I can get along without them now. I was also healed of chronic bowel disorder, and of very severe suffering from cramps in two toes. Since my earliest remembrance I could not buy shoes to fit. Then blood poisoning set in. That was all healed without any material remedy. I used no medicine from the day I took up the study of Christian Science.

I am thankful to God and to Jesus the Christ, and grateful to Mrs. Eddy for this healing truth. I only pray that I may be worthy to be called a Christian Scientist. Whereas before I could see nothing but darkness and in every person an enemy, I now see light, and love every one.
