Christian Science was bitterly opposed by me for several years, but now I can see how divine Love was leading me all the time to love the truth. With my children this practical religion has been a great help. During the so-called influenza epidemic Love did indeed cast out fear. My little boy was healed of the ailment almost instantaneously. He was in a high fever, but about five minutes after treatment was given, his head was perfectly cool and he became quiet and slept the rest of the night. The next morning he got up as usual. Pneumonia, neuralgia, toothache, and other ills have been overcome with a little help. The songs in our Hymnal are often a help to me, for they are a treatment in themselves. I live in the country, sixteen miles from a Christian Science church, so without our literature I could hardly get along.—Mrs. Ira Johnson, Mayview, Mo.
