"Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness." In the spring of 1917 our little son was attacked with what seemed to be a severe case of pneumonia. Instantly the above words of Isaiah came to me, and I repeated them over and over, gaining strength and reliance. No material means were used, and in less than three days with the help of a Christian Science practitioner the disease vanished. In five days the baby was so well and happy that I left town on a visit.

This is only one of the wonderful healings that have come to us in the past six years and more, during which time Christian Science has been our only physician. Throat trouble of seven years' standing was overcome for me in three weeks' treatment. My husband was freed from inflammatory rheumatism in a month, being able to go to business after the first treatment. Our two children were born under Christian Science care, and both times I was able to be up and caring for the baby in a very short time. From childhood I had been seeking health, but since gaining a little understanding of Christian Science, the old ailments have vanished one by one, and I am now in perfect health.

The physical healings have been many, and for these I am very grateful; but the deeper joy and happiness that have come to me in the better understanding of God as divine Life, Truth, Love, cause unbounded thankfulness to God and to Jesus, the Way-shower, also deep gratitude to Mrs. Eddy, who toiled steadfastly to reveal the Christ to us and who proved God to be the only power.
