"He that shall endure"

INTEREST in sacred prophecy has become widespread among Bible students since the Bible has become less of a sealed book and is being recognized for what it really is—a record of the unfolding of the divine idea to human consciousness.

The True Ministry of Health

AT the present time, when the nations are searching for health, it may be useful to consider what Christian Science has to say on this subject.

Generosity

WHEN the disciples asked Jesus to send the multitude away to procure provisions for themselves, he answered, "Give ye them to eat.

Spiritual Lessons

ONE pities the canary confined within the narrow limits of his gilded cage,—and yet, who is more restricted or imprisoned than mortal man, still in bondage to the five physical senses, still seeking happiness in worldly interests, still fearing an unknown evil power?

Evensong

DEAR Father-Mother Love, the day is ending—Day that began anew with praise to Thee; Dawn touched the mountain peaks to rose; descending, Tinged the blue mist of valley gloriously.
If there was one quality in the teaching of Jesus of Nazareth which impressed the multitude more than another, it would seem to have been the authority with which he spoke and acted.
The 'testimony of common sense" is a stock phrase of those who decry any teaching which does not conform to popular notions, and must have been what Paul had in mind when he said, "The wisdom of this world is foolishness with God.
Permit me to reply to the ministerial attack on Christian Science as reported in your columns.
The latest criticism of Christian Science by a writer in the Camera furnishes an excellent example of one fighting "as on that beateth the air;" for in spite of many motions, the use of many adjectives and comparisons, the critic misses the mark entirely.

The Inner Meaning of Patience

I am very grateful for Christian Science.
My healing of almost unbearable nervousness and pain came through the mental change brought about by the study of the Bible in connection with "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs.
Christian Science was of such immeasurable value to me during my military service that I would like to submit a testimony for publication.
When I first started the study of Christian Science, I received so much help and encouragement from the testimonies published in the Journal and Sentinel, also those given at the Wednesday evening meetings, that I send mine with the hope that it may help some one as I was helped.
It is nearly eight years since I came to Christian Science for healing.
Christian Science has freed both my husband and myself from many discordant conditions, leading us, though slowly, to gain some understanding of the love expressed in the Christ, which enabled our Master to lift mankind mentally and physically above the clamorings of mortal wrong thinking.
I wish to tell briefly of a healing, in the hope that it may help some one and that God may be glorified.
For several years I have received many benefits from reading the testimonies in our periodicals; likewise, from hearing them at the Wednesday evening meetings.
I wish to express my gratitude for the many blessings that have come to me through Christian Science.
I feel it a privilege and a duty to tell of a healing I received through Christian Science in the winter of 1918.
It has been eight years since I became interested in Christian Science, and I feel that I should acknowledge my many blessings.
For several years I have read the testimonies and articles in the Christian Science Sentinel, and so much help has been received from them that with gratitude I send my testimony.
A few years ago when first I heard of Christian Science, I had occasion to go to a surgeon regarding my foot, a portion of which had been amputated because of an accident some years previous.
For three years and a half I had not been without a nurse for even a day.
In gratitude for Christian Science and the many blessings it has brought to me, I should like to write some words of thanks as to my healing of a disease having a discharge which was very offensive.
