I feel it a privilege and a duty to tell of a healing I received through Christian Science in the winter of 1918. On my way to work one morning when there was a bad snowstorm, my horse became stuck in a drift, and as I stepped from the sleigh, the horse jumped, throwing me so that all my weight came on the left hand, bending back the third and fourth fingers. I put them back into place with the other hand, but when I got to the stone shed, for I am a granite cutter, the hand was swollen. By using my understanding of Christian Science I was enabled to work all day, but on reaching home at night the pain was so severe I telephoned to a practitioner and asked for treatment. In two hours the pain had ceased. Next morning the hand was an enormous size, but during the afternoon the swelling began to disappear. After it had all gone I found that the bone of the third finger had been splintered. On the fourth day I was able to go to work again.

I am indeed grateful for this healing, and also for the understanding of Truth that I am gaining each day from a study of the Bible, and of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy.
