For several years I have read the testimonies and articles in the Christian Science Sentinel, and so much help has been received from them that with gratitude I send my testimony. For about nine years I suffered terribly from several diseases, although I had secured the very best medical advice. All material help failed, and several of the diseases were pronounced incurable. I was soon compelled to leave my usual employment on account of nervousness and lack of physical strength, so took up traveling in the hope of finding a climate where I could regain health and happiness. I continued to fail daily, however, and before long became completely disabled. The only relief from pain was secured from hypodermic injections, but these caused me to have severe trouble with my heart. At this point I consented to try Christian Science, and had studied but a very short time when I was able to lay aside glasses, which had been worn continually for seven years. I had lost all faith in material remedies, but belief in the healing power of God had to grow into faith and faith into spiritual understanding before complete healing from the other troubles was experienced.
