It is with a heart filled with gratitude that I give my testimony to the wonderful power of Truth. Seven years and a half ago I became interested in Christian Science through a friend, who was untiring in helping me at every opportunity. I was at that time employed in a large factory, and advanced rapidly in my work, realizing that man is the reflection of divine intelligence, also that God gave me my work to do and strength and understanding to do it with. In about a year I made a change with higher and better opportunities following. About five years and a half later I became a Christian Science practical nurse, and this has promoted my growth more than any other work.
Through the realization of God's tender care and love for His children I have been gradually uplifted, and have been healed, to a great extent, of the sense of discouragement. Before coming into Science I had very little to live for; existence seemed a severe struggle in my young girlhood. Christian Science has given me more happiness than I ever thought was possible; and I have found that being grateful for what we have and striving to make others happy, increases our own happiness. I have been healed of colds, sore throat, aching and sore feet, ptomaine poisoning, and a very severe attack of influenza. Christian Science proves that the word of Truth is quick and powerful; for in seven years and a half I was only absent from work a day and a half until the influenza attack, and that was overcome in a week.
I am indeed grateful for all our Christian Science literature. I have never gone to it for help without finding some message of love that has been a comfort and a benefit to me. I am sincerely grateful to our revered Leader, Mrs. Eddy, who was pure enough to present this great healing truth to the world in so simple a form that all may understand it. For all my blessings I am sincerely grateful.
