I am more grateful for some understanding of Christian Science...
I am more grateful for some understanding of Christian Science than words can tell. From childhood I was an enthusiastic worker in an orthodox church, and earnestly sought the kingdom of heaven, but my work in the church did not satisfy me. Trials and sorrows came, and I had nothing to meet them with but a belief that I must bear them bravely.
My seeking was rewarded when a friend recommended that I read "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. From the day I began to read this book my life has been changing from darkness to light, from bondage to freedom. Just by reading I was healed of chronic bowel trouble. I have also been healed of severe sick headaches and a belief that they were hereditary. I was told by a doctor that if I ever had cold in my head again I could not live. Shortly after beginning to read the Christian Science text-book I took a very bad cold. I could do nothing for myself, so asked for help from a practitioner. The cold was completely destroyed. During the three years and a half since then I have had need to break every material law about colds and have not even had a hint of one. Formerly I suffered much from nervous troubles. Many doctors treated me and I tried change of climate and surroundings, but only grew worse, until I came into Christian Science and was freed from these ills.
I am grateful for all these healings, but my joy at being healed of worry, doubt, fear, and lack of supply is even greater. I am very grateful for all the Christian Science literature. My heart sings all the while, that God is good.
