Last autumn, while I was riding home on a street car one day, a small particle flew into one of my eyes, almost blinding me. I became so full of fear it seemed as if I must go to an oculist. Then I remembered that my brother would soon be home and he could remove it for me. So the arguments went on.

There was no one at home when I arrived. I waited for some time, until I realized that something must be done. In other problems, either through reading Christian Science literature or through the aid of a practitioner, help had been received. I thought of this and Truth seemed to ask, "On whom are you depending, man or God?" A great sense of peace came to me, and I remembered that in working out a problem a few weeks before through the help of a practitioner, this same thought had been given me. I knew this was a chance to prove for myself the power of God. I went to my room, took my copy of the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, and read, with some difficulty. At times I could read but a few words. In less than an hour all pain had disappeared and there was perfect freedom. There was not a trace of inflammation or pain left, and I felt very grateful for God's ever present help.

I am truly grateful for Christian Science and all the channels provided for spreading the truth.
