It is nearly ten years since I first came to Christian Science for healing. I was then a physical wreck and had been condemned to die by the physicians attending me. They pronounced the trouble Bright's disease and nervous breakdown. They also said I had serious stomach trouble. I had walked the floors and streets for three months with scarcely an hour's sleep, for I was suffering from sleeplessness. My friends had asked me many times why I did not try Christian Science, but I was stubborn and would not investigate.

One morning I went out into the woods and falling down on my knees prayed God to show me the way out of my agony; and as I was hungering and thirsting after righteousness, God did answer and in His own way. The next day the still, small voice of Truth led me to seek help in Christian Science. That same morning I went to a practitioner, and I shall never forget the peace and harmony that came over me after the first treatment. I continued the treatment for two weeks and at the end of that time felt like a new man. I went back to work a new man indeed, with God in my heart and thoughts continually. Many times I have called upon Him since, and when I have done my part the sweet peace has always come.

Christian Science has been everything in the world to me since my healing and without it I could never have accomplished what I have since gaining some understanding of the truth of being. It is indeed the "pearl of great price," which I would rather have than anything on earth. It has brought peace, happiness, a home, prosperity, health, joy, and above all the spiritual uplift which makes for heaven.
