I am grateful for the privilege of expressing gratitude to God for healing through Christian Science. This truth came into my life when I was called upon to part with one who was nearer to me than anyone else in the world. I was wonderfully sustained during trials that seemed to overwhelm me, and was instantly and most beautifully healed of grief. My gratitude for this is most sincere, for I had believed that I would have to learn to endure this state of mind and pass through many years of loneliness.

During my first reading of our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, I was healed of defective eyesight. I had not finished the book when I suddenly knew that I did not need my glasses, and they have never been worn since. A specialist had treated me for this condition and had told me that it could never be healed, but the understanding of what God is, gave me normal use of my eyes.

I am grateful for many healings, but am not able to express in words my gratitude for the beautiful and practical truth about God that came into my life through Christian Science. It has indeed given to me "beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness."—(Mrs.) Clara D. Longley, Boston, U.S.A.
