Funds of The Mother Church

"Please find inclosed a draft for seventy-five dollars for War Relief fund. This evening a gentleman came to my house inquiring for the clerk of this church. He stated that he and his wife desired to make a small contribution to the War Relief fund of The Mother Church, and handed me seventy-five dollars. They are not members of this church and are strangers to me, but they are awake to the blessed privilege of giving to the War Relief fund."

"Inclosed please find postal orders for two pounds, being a donation to the War Relief fund of The Mother Church from a few Christian Scientists in Pilgrims Rest, Transvaal, South Africa. I may add that we only started holding services here in a private house three months ago and the inclosed sum is part of our collections. We hope to continue sending every few months."

"I want to send a small contribution of five dollars to the War Relief fund. I send it in gratitude for the wonderful love and protection I have received since finding the 'pearl of great price' and the understanding of Christian Science. My prayer is to be more worthy of membership in The Mother Church."
