With an earnest desire that the doubting of many may cease and the hope of the seemingly hopeless be stimulated, let me say that eighteen years ago Christian Science came to my attention, and in grateful acknowledgment of the results obtained from reading Mrs. Eddy's works I sent a testimony bearing witness to the same, which is given on page 617 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, in the chapter on Fruitage. I stand ready at all times to verify it as authentic. The professor of medicine had told my wife that I could live only a few months. Not only have I remained in good health since my healing, but our five children in infancy and upward have had no other help than Christian Science treatment when discordant conditions have arisen. In the Sentinel of August 29, 1903, I have a testimony concerning the healing of my eyesight after wearing glasses for nine years. This demonstration was made through realizing that sight is a normal spiritual gift, and through study of Mrs. Eddy's definition of eyes (Science and Health, p. 586) as "spiritual discernment,—not material but mental." The healing was perfect. In the question of supply I have also proved that God is the source of all good.

Mrs. Eddy states truly on page 2 of "Rudimental Divine Science": "Healing physical sickness is the smallest part of Christian Science. It is only the bugle-call to thought and action, in the higher range of infinite goodness."
