For several years Christian Science has been the only remedy used in our home. At the time our youngest daughter was born my wife had absent treatment and a Christian Science nurse was present. When first learning to walk the child placed her hand on the stove, an air-tight heater made of thin sheet iron, which was very hot. To mortal sense she was badly burned, and I feel satisfied that had it not been for our understanding of Christian Science she would have slept none that night and would have had a bandaged hand for a week or two. As it was, the pain was overcome in a remarkably short time and the child went to bed and slept all night. It was a week or so before the hand looked like the other, but it apparently did not inconvenience her.

Christian Science has brought to me a greater realization of the meaning of the message of Christ Jesus, "I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." Through the study of this teaching an irritating skin affliction of over twelve years' duration disappeared some fourteen months ago. All my life I had been troubled more or less with neuralgia during the changing of the seasons, and about two years ago I had an attack which was so severe it made me twitch. Not being able to overcome it through my own understanding of the truth, I went to a Christian Science practitioner for help. He gave me a treatment and told me to come back in an hour or two. I went into the reading room, and while reading Mrs. Eddy's poem "Christmas Morn" (Poems, p. 29), I was healed. I, however, went to see the practitioner as requested. Except a faint intimation of the ailment when the season changed again I have not been troubled with neuralgia since. These are two of the inharmonies which a knowledge of a more abundant life has cast out through the application of Christian Science.

I have indeed received many blessings through the study of the Bible together with "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy.
