While living in Pomona, California, about nine years ago, I had whooping cough, followed by bronchial asthma in a most distressing form. I took all kinds of medicine, anything that was heard of as I traveled through the Southwest, trying to find some place where I could get relief. Physicians told me there was little use for me to take medicine, and I got only the merest temporary relief. I had become so weak and run down that I was hardly able to travel, or to attend to business when at home, and spent a great deal of the time sick in bed. I was, indeed, sorely in need of help from some source.

Finally, in March, 1912, through the earnest solicitations of a friend, I commenced taking Christian Science treatment. I did not expect any change in my condition and told the practitioner so at the start, but after three treatments, tobacco, which I had used for thirty years, became so repulsive to me that I laid it aside and have not used it since. This I considered nothing less than a miracle. The treatments were continued for a month, when I was so much improved that I came home to Colorado. I am enjoying good health and am able to work every day. The asthmatic condition is greatly improved, and much of the time I am entirely free from it. Other ailments of long standing have entirely disappeared. I am giving this testimony in the hope that some one may be induced thereby to turn to Christian Science.—Fred C.
