For more than ten years I had a growth in my nose which almost closed one nostril. Physicians had told me I did not get enough air to my lungs on account of it and must have an operation, but I had postponed it from time to time. One night while lying in bed thinking I could no longer endure the misery caused by this obstruction, it suddenly occurred to me that I might have Christian Science treatment for its removal. I had only recently taken up the study of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy and longed for a proof of God's healing power, so I said to myself: "Yes, that is what I shall do. I will see a practitioner and be healed, for all things are possible with God. He is my life." Imagine my surprise when I discovered, as I repeated these words, that the growth, which had always been hard, began to get soft and in a few seconds was entirely gone, leaving the once diseased nostril perfectly normal. I thought I must be dreaming, so jumped out of bed, turned on the light, and called my sister, who was sleeping in an adjoining room. Upon examination I found I was not mistaken, for the growth had disappeared. My breathing was normal, and no surgeon could have done the work so well, for there was no soreness, nor were there any of the symptoms which usually follow man's work. I could hardly believe that God had done this for me, instead of through a practitioner, as I had expected. I want every one to know that He is as available to-day as when Christ Jesus was upon earth. I am thankful to God for my experience.
