Geneva, Ill.—First Church of Christ, Scientist, opened its new church edifice on Sunday, November 25, 1917, holding two services, at which the history of the progress of the church was read.

As early as 1894 a few people of Geneva, who had felt the healing and uplifting power of Christian Science, began the study of it, and in 1897 they decided to form a church organization and hold Sunday services for the study of the Bible and the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, not only that they might gain a better understanding of this wonderful healing truth, but that those meetings might be the avenue through which others might find health and peace. So First Church of Christ, Scientist, of Geneva, was established.
