Some three years ago the aid of a Christian Science...
Some three years ago the aid of a Christian Science practitioner was sought for relief from mental trouble. Almost at once sleeplessness vanished, and acting on the advice of the practitioner I made a determined effort to grasp something of the meaning of Christian Science. I had been studying Science and Health and the Bible Lessons daily for about four months with apparently no enlightenment, when acute lung trouble developed in a member of the family. After a severe struggle with fear the practitioner was called upon for absent treatment, and the result was an instantaneous healing.
Following this beautiful demonstration of God's protecting care, the sense of working in the dark for something beyond human attainment vanished, and a feeling of peace, rest, and hopefulness appeared. Through the patient, loving work of the practitioner invalidism has been overcome and health has been restored. I am deeply grateful for Christian Science, and for the understanding of the Bible, which previously had seemed a sealed book.
Mrs. Charles H. Gill, Chicago, Ill.
