I would like to add my testimony to the many already given, that it may help some seeker for Truth. I had been sick since childhood, and the law of heredity was held over me, as my parents were sickly. My mother had chronic stomach trouble and chronic inflammation of the joints, and my father had neuralgia, rheumatism, and heart disease, with which he passed on when I was eight years old. I was supposed to have inherited all these ailments, and besides all this I had St. Vitus' dance four times between the ages of nine and fourteen, and had only a year and a half of schooling on account of my delicate condition.

Following the birth of my first boy, attacks of internal inflammation caused the greatest suffering yet endured, and during the next two years they occurred every few months. One of the doctors said this trouble was originally caused by a fall when I was seven years old, and that the inflammation had become chronic and could never be healed. After being treated by many different doctors and specialists, I was told that conditions were very serious and I must undergo an operation. I got ready for it three or four times, but they were afraid to give me an anesthetic on account of my heart. For eleven years more life dragged on, and then a severe attack of pleurisy left me with a cough. Besides this stomach trouble set in, my foot swelled up and turned black from rheumatism, and I had one attack of neuralgia after another.

I knew nothing of Christian Science, but on my way to church one Sunday morning "the still small voice" whispered to me as I was passing a Christian Science church, and I went in. After the service I asked to have a book loaned me, and was given a copy of Science and Health. By the time I had finished the first chapter the cough was gone; when half way through the book I was free from stomach trouble, rheumatism, and neuralgia. There was a seeming return of these conditions, but they were permanently overcome in a few weeks through the help of a practitioner. I have studied the Lesson-Sermons faithfully during the past two years and a half, and every one of the ailments has disappeared. I am grateful for the physical healing, but words cannot express my gratitude for the spiritual uplift.
