It is over ten years since I heard of Christian Science

It is over ten years since I heard of Christian Science. At that time I was in a miserable state of health and was suffering from a disease of the eyes, said to be ulceration, with which I had been troubled since childhood. Each attack seemed to leave the sight less clear, until I could hardly see at all. Several specialists treated me, but no permanent help was received. The last one said he could do nothing more for me, and that possibly I might become quite blind.

It was then I proved, as so many others have done, that "man's extremity is God's opportunity." I felt that there must be healing somewhere, and prayed earnestly to God to show me the way out of this condition. Some time afterward I heard of Christian Science through a friend, and attended a Wednesday evening meeting. The peace experienced at that service will always be remembered; I felt that I had been led there in answer to my prayer. Through the help of a practitioner and the reading of the literature I realized the truth that makes free. My sight has greatly improved and I have never had an attack of the old complaint.

During the years Christian Science has been in our home we have had many proofs of the healing power of Truth, and it has met all our needs. I am truly grateful for the physical benefits, but more especially for the light, comfort, and spiritual understanding that enable us to go on day by day. I am thankful to God for all the helop received, also grateful to our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for giving us the right understanding of Him.
