With deepest gratitude and love this testimony is given in the hope that some one thirsting for the truth may be benefited. For about a year I had been in very poor health, and in January, 1915, my condition became so alarming a physician was called in. After a thorough examination he pronounced my case hopeless, but conscientiously did all he could to make be comfortable. He said I might get out of bed again, but would be practically an invalid for the rest of my life, which would probably not be long.

When my daughter was convinced that the doctor could do nothing more for me, she consented to my having Christian Science treatment. On the night the practitioner was called, about nine o'clock, I was to mortal sense worse, but in less than an hour I went to sleep. For the first time during my illness I slept peacefully the whole night, not even awaking to take nourishment. Previous to this an opiate had been necessary to induce sleep. The next afternoon when the practitioner came I was sitting in a chair, and the third evening I ate dinner with my family. From then on my condition continued to improve. I was able to put up all my fruit the following summer without help, and am now doing my own housework. Except for a slight asthmatic cough I feel better than for years. I know that I am resting on the all sustaining truth of being, and that complete healing will be manifested.

Words cannot express my thankfulness to God, and my gratitude to our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for showing me the way. My daily prayer is that I may grow to know more and more of this glorious truth which makes men free.
