[Written for the Sentinel]

Truth's Gloria

The powers of darkness hold no further sway,
For Truth has brought to light the eternal day,
And o'er the wreckage of false human will
Love builds new mansions fair by waters still.

Forgetting all those things that are behind,
Life ever new and beautiful we find;
Still more abundant as we forward press,
Life, Truth, and Love forever wait to bless.

Remembering not the shadowy paths of old,
We walk the streets celestial bright with gold,
As safely guided by the Father's hand
We pass the portals of the promised land.

And list! the chorus that glad voices sing,
As through both earth and heaven loud echoes ring:
Gone is the cross, gone dark Gethsemane,
All glory to the Christ forever be!
