Among the Churches

Current Notes

Bellingham, Wash .—After more than ten years without a real church home, Church of Christ, Scientist, is now holding services in an attractive building at the corner of Maple and Forest Streets. The congregation moved into its new home the first of October from the Aftermath Club House, which had served as a place of worship for several years. The plans call for a building much larger than the present unit, which is so constructed that the second unit can be built on, making a completely appointed church. It will cost approximately twenty-five thousand dollars. The unit just completed cost about seventy-five hundred dollars, and will seat three hundred and fifty persons.

Vineland, N. J.—Services of dedication for the new edifice of First Church of Christ, Scientist, were held yesterday afternoon [Dec. 3] at the building recently completed on Wood Street, almost opposite the new Vocational High School. A lot was purchased in the early spring of 1915, and the following June saw ground broken for the structure, the corner-stone being laid on July 17. The work progressed so satisfactorily that the building was completed and ready for occupancy, with the auditorium and reading-room furnished, Nov. 21 the same year. The approximate cost was fifty-one hundred dollars.—Vineland Republican.
