Christian Science has indeed been to me the "pearl of...
Christian Science has indeed been to me the "pearl of great price," because it has taught me to know God. I attended many different churches in search of the straight and narrow path which leads to the "secret place of the most High," but after many weary years there came a time when in my hour of greatest need—unhappiness, discouragement, discontent, and other trials—I prayed fervently for light, some support outside of myself. Our heavenly Father heard my cry and lovingly guided me to Christian Science.
Since then many blessings have been received. An advanced case of pyorrhea of the teeth, which was considered hereditary, was overcome in one week by the reading of Science and Health, and the diseased condition has never in any way manifested itself again. I have been healed of a malignant growth of some years' standing, also of chronic catarrh of the head and throat that had been with me from childhood. For these healings I am indeed grateful, but more so for the spiritual exaltation which words are inadequate to describe. I am in perfect health and depend on Christian Science for every need.
All that I am, all that I have, all that I hope to be, I owe to this teaching. For me its blessings have been as multitudinous as the sands of the sea. It has meant a change from misery to happiness, from sorrow to joy, from doubt to understanding,—a journey out of darkness into light.
