In September, 1914, while working on a barn, I was injured by a heavy timber, which hit me on the head and rendered me unconscious for some time. I suffered from nervous shock until February, 1915, when what is called depressed melancholy developed, together with loss of mind. I had no appetite, could get no sleep without taking the most powerful opiates, and had to be watched by some one continually.

Several different physicians were tried, also another kind of treatment, and finally my wife resolved to try Christian Science, as some of her relatives had been helped by it in various ways. A practitioner was asked to take the case, and in three days I was calling people by their names and began to realize where I was. In two weeks I attended the Wednesday evening meeting with the practitioner, and in three weeks was so improved physically and normal mentally, that I dismissed the practitioner, and have since studied Science and Health for myself.

I am very grateful for this healing and want to spread the good news.—Charles L. Giles, Marcellus, N. Y.
