Christian Science came to me when I was in the depth of despair, after being an invalid for fourteen years and suffering from what was pronounced locomotor ataxia and weak spine. During that time ten doctors had attended me, medicine was constantly being taken, and massage and electrical treatment were resorted to; but only temporary relief resulted.

I thought it impossible for Christian Science to do anything for me, but it has done everything. After studying the Bible and Science and Health for about three weeks and having some Christian Science treatment, I awoke one morning with a great sense of joy and uplift. Unually one of my first duties is to attend to my bird, and on doing so that morning the sudden realization came to me that I had walked across the room unaided, carrying the bird cage. Since then I have been able to do everything needful indoors in the way of walking, including going up and down stairs, and am now able to take long walks. To me this demonstration was wonderful, but the spiritual uplift is a thousand times more so. Ailments from which I had suffered since childhood have likewise disappeared into nothingness.

Words cannot express my gratitude to Mrs. Eddy for showing us the way. I am indeed thankful for all our literature, and for the better understanding of the Bible which I have gained through the daily study of the Lesson-Sermon. Christian Science has brought great joy and happiness into my life.
