Among the Churches

Current Notes

ANTIGO, WIS.—First Church of Christ, Scientist, has purchased a lot at the corner of Superior Street and Seventh Avenue, just opposite the Public Library. The deed covers the east 25 feet and 8 inches of lot 4 and all of lot 5 in block 64. The consideration was thirteen hundred dollars. Before it was organized as a church the Christian Science Society held regular services in rented halls for about eight years, first in what is now the M. Krom Hall, and for about five years past in the Odd Fellows Hall.— The Journal.

GLENWOOD SPRINGS, COL.—Work on the edifice of First Church of Christ, Scientist, which is being built on the corner of Tenth and Cooper Avenues, is nearing completion, and the building will probably be ready for occupancy the latter part of July. The lots were given to the church, and the building will cost in the neighborhood of two thousand dollars.—Correspondence.

GENEVA, ILL.—Last Saturday afternoon [May 20] the corner-stone of First Church of Christ, Scientist, and the first Christian Science church to be erected in Kane County, was put in place in the building now under construction on South Second Street.— Geneva Republican.
