With a heart full of thankfulness I acknowledge a demonstration...

With a heart full of thankfulness I acknowledge a demonstration which was made for me some time ago. One morning soon after my husband had left for the office I went to the back door of our apartment, and the instant my foot touched the step I shot out on to the sidewalk, falling backward and striking my head with full force against the edge of the stone step. For a few seconds I seemed stunned, and then to mortal sense there was great pain. At first I was unable to rise, but soon with difficulty crawled up-stairs to a neighbor who has a telephone and asked her to call for Christian Science treatment. After she had done so I had her look at my head, and as the blood was flowing freely she thought a doctor should be called, so this was done. All sense of pain had left, however, and it did not return, even when the stitches were taken. The wound gave me no trouble and healed quickly.

I have had many demonstrations as a result of my own work and that of others, but this to me seems the most wonderful. I am thankful to God for His many mercies, and grateful to Mrs. Eddy for expressing this saving truth in Christian Science. — Elisa Campion, Omaha, Neb.
