About three years ago I suffered with a painful abdominal trouble, which caused me to feel very despondent. The physician gave me no hope of regaining my health except through an operation, to which, however, I could not make up my mind to submit. It was then that a friend told me of Christian Science and its healing power, and I immediately applied to a practitioner, who lovingly made me acquainted with its teachings. From that moment on I earnestly endeavored to hold steadfastly to what I recognized as truth, the result being that I was healed within a short time.

I feel impelled to state here that I am most deeply grateful for the benefits which I have received both in a physical and in a spiritual way through Christian Science. I also wish to acknowledge with a grateful and joyful heart that peace has displaced disharmony in my home and that I have repeatedly experienced wonderful proofs of the efficacy of the divine power in cases of financial need. I give thanks to God, the dispenser of all good, and am grateful to Mrs. Eddy, our revered Leader, and to the one through whose help I have gained some understanding of the healing power of Truth.
