From a heart filled with gratitude this testimony is given, in the hope that some one who is struggling along the road from sense to Soul will derive comfort from it. I have been a student of Christian Science for the past five years and have had numerous proofs that God is an ever-present help in trouble.

When I was very young in Science a seemingly great trouble came upon me, and at times the strain was almost unendurable. Other difficulties were added to the first one until it seemed I could bear no more. Then from excessive worry over these things I was stricken with severe nervousness, and would have dreadful headaches, accompanied by extreme dizziness and vomiting. These spells occurred as often as twice a week for more than two years. None of my family were interested in Christian Science and much inharmony was manifested. No material remedies were used, however, for it was my desire to be healed by Christian Science; and though the healing was slow, I can now say that it has been accomplished.

All these burdens have been very hard to bear, but it has been proved that they were needed, for not otherwise would I have turned to God. There are still many problems to work out, and some of them seem most difficult of solution, but I realize that they are only stepping-stones to higher hopes. Since becoming interested in Christian Science my path has by no means been strewn with roses, in fact it has seemed even rougher than before; but I have not become discouraged, for each rough place has given me a better understanding of how to work out all my daily problems. The Bible and the Christian Science text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, are my daily guides.
